Summer's End Ensemble

Here's the photo I know you've been dying to see - the ensemble picture from my Summer's End (a piece by Brent Auerbach) Ensemble that I coached th-sa this week. Everyone was all smiles afterward, so I think it was a success.

Having a welcome day of not having to drive to & from Wellesley - will miss the AC, though, since temps here are forecast to get to the 90sF & dewpoint of 70F+ :|

walk May 22 2010

Here are photos from my May 22 2010 walk.
Flowers & houses, beginning with our garden's poppies - now long gone.
The theme for the day seemed to be purple & green.

Temps heading up to the 90sF again today.

I think the yellow house is a Martian in disguise.

Tomorrow I head to Wellesley for day 1 of the 2-week program.
AC all day. Whoppee!!

Blessing

A photo of our garden sprite from 21.May.2010.

Heading out soon for some errands including an Alexander lesson - I was fussing about having to go out today-Sat. for Alexander, acupuncture & Polarity treatments and then realized it's probably just as well to get myself prepared for the Composers Conference two-week marathon that starts Monday. And besides, the acupuncture clinic is air conditioned.

Blessedly cool yesterday (if very humid as I mentioned), and temps today supposedly only in the low 80sF before the HHH returns for Friday through who knows when.

May flowers

We've been having some July showers, but nothing's put a dent in this horrendous humidity - dewpoint 74 as I type.
Went for a walk early this AM since I've noticed the tummy expanding while I wait for this expletive deleted weather pattern to shift & it was like swimming.
Thank the goddess it was only about 80.
Next week starts Wellesley Composer Conference so at least I'll be in AC during the day. I'm planning even to hang around for dinner, which I didn't do last year. Who wants to sit & sweat if you don't have to!!!??? These photos from 17.May.2010

O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!

This is how I'll feel when this expletive deleted heat wave rots in hell.

I'm flying

Dreams of kitty flight

Heading off now for acupuncture. Fingers crossed the acupuncturist can find a magic point for energy.
