Amsterdam 4.July.2014 part third

As you might be able to tell, I took lots of pictures at the Stedelijk Museum. Here's the third batch, as well as a video of someone outside the Rijksmuseum that I saw on my way to the tram.

Amsterdam 4.July.2014 part deux

Photos from day 1 at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam's contemporary art museum, opened recently after a very long renovation/expansion. I decided to go there after the "fire drill" (in quotes since I think it really was a bomb scare) at the Rijksmuseum, since I had no idea how long that would take to reopen. Also a video clip. If you're using Firefox for the Mac, like moi, version 32.0.3, you might want to open the page in Safari since for some reason Firefox doesn't display the videos.

A dove gray day here today - temps mid 70s so couldn't be better. Enjoy.

Richard Serra sculpture (big, no?) outside the museum

Amsterdam 4.July.2014, part one

Some photos from the Rijksmuseum - before they closed it for a "fire drill." My first solo day in A'dam.

Thought Jo would get a kick out of the title for this one.

What happens when you get to the Rijksmuseum after 10:30AM.
Too many people around the Vermeers.

One of my favorite Dutch painters.

Windows on the 3rd (?) floor hall in the Rijksmuseum.

Back to the Medieval/Renaissance galleries.
Gave up on the crowds looking @amp; the Vermeers & Rembrandts.
