2016-03-07: Palmachim

Last photos from 7.Mar.2016, including a stop at the local organic grocery store near Palmachim, and ending up at a restaurant where we met Nadiv & Dominique (and their new-born), and had a very friendly (and probably gay). waiter. Unfortunately no picture of him.

2016-03-07: Back in Jerusalem

Shots today from the trip heading back to Jerusalem, including the graveyard just outside the Old City walls, and a shopping center, just to show you how things can be the same & different at the same time.
Horse just outside the city walls.

Martian in disguise?

The graveyard.

I think you were supposed to pay the guy who owns this
in order to take a picture of it. Oops.

Your guess is as good as mine.

This could be in Marinette.

So could this. Except maybe the brand.

Not so much.

McDonald's - they're everywhere.

And we're exchanging this because . . .

Blooming almonds?

2016-03-07: Heading back to Jerusalem

Heading back north, stopping at a rest top with hordes of kids on some kind of school vacation, and ventured up this mountain, where a goat lived, & where someone was setting up some kind of lunch/reception for some obviously high-rollers. Finally, stopping at a gas station with not only the requisite cat, but an actual, factual camel.

The goat checking us out.

Where in the U.S. do you find camel crossing signs?

Looking out from under the tarp for the luncheon,
taking in the Dead Sea.

Same mountain minus the cars.

Flying the folks in on a helicopter.

This was a close to the precipice as I was willing to go.

The camel gassing up.
