2016-03-05: Negev desert & Kibbutz Neot Semadar

Last shots today from the Negev Desert & the pictures I took @ the Kibbutz Neot Semadar. The latter recommended by a sweet woman, Bar who'd helped me get from the Israel Museum to David Yellin College the day before to meet Jan & Arie's students there.

Oddly enough the kibbutz website says nothing about the beautifully-colored architecture and who designed it. Reminded me a lot (in its Gesamtkunstwerkness) of the Goetheanum in Dornach that was built around Rudolph Steiner's ideas about architecture. It took us awhile to get someone to open the gate for us, and the gift shop, etc., were all closed since it was Shabbat (though that didn't occur to me at the time).

If you compare these colors to the ones in the cardigan
I'm wearing below, you can see they're pretty matchy-matchy.

Enjoying their few days' blooming this year.

June 23, 1975? Your guess is as good as mine what else this sign says.

Next photos from in & around the kibbutz.
