2016-03-03: day 8 Constructivism, Kandkinsky, Klee and almost to and one from the 21st century

Constructivism, a Kandinsky I thought was a Klee when I first saw it, Klee and more.

This was the one I thought was a Klee. Even More from (1933)
the year the Nazis demanded that he leave the Bauhaus.

Klee Colors from a distance (1932)

Nicolas de Staël Untitled (1949)

Now I didn'r get the wall blurb for this but it has to be
one of Alber's homages to the square.Yup. I think my colors
are truer to the original.

And local boy, Ellsworth Kelly. White relief over black.  This one
is from  the 21st century (2002). They haven't updated their
wall info to mention his death in 2015. Oddly enough, this
painting & the Ryman Range below aren't in the Israel
museum image database,

Shot from inside on this rainy day - I forgot it rained twice
while I was in Israel.

Robert Ryman Range (1983) - almost to the 21st century. You
can see how these last few pieces kinda fit with Constructivism.

2016-03-03: Israel Museum day 7

Cubism and other explorations on offer today, including one of my faves, Kandinsky.

Modigliani on of the "other" explorations,
I guess. Who knew he was Jewish?

Robert Delaunay. Air, Iron, Water

This Severini is kinda Cubist. I'm more
familiar with his sculptures.

Umberto Boccioni Unique Forms of Continuity in Space
is kind of famous.

Lyonel Feininger. Who knew he was American? Worked in the
Bauhaus. The first faculty member Walter Gropius hired. Huh,.

Otto Freundlich. One of the first abstract painters.

And that kooky Kandinsky. What's Fixed
about this?
