2016-02-28: Mt. Hermon & the turtle

Pix from after our hike through Banyas, along one of Jan & Arie's scenic routes, & snow in spring on the top of Mt. Hermon.

One of the few photos I took of the almost ubiquitous
military presence along the borders.

See below for this fellow in motion (we moved him
to the side of the road)

I think this might be run-off from the Tsaar waterfall.

En route Mt. Hermon - stopped for gas here. Don't remember the
name of the town

Not the prettiest view of the snow.

Fixing lunch

Now this is better.

Bit Kat Ram lake. So small it doesn't have a web page.

Druze restaurant - owned by one of Arie's friends. We had some
delicious pita as a snack

Druze restaurant clock.

Some of Israel's famous oak trees (behind the cow (or is it a bull?).
