Mannheim - 28.June.2014

Not too many pix from that day. I liked the way the flash made one of the eyes in the poster shine, which is why I included a duplicate. I stayed in this room when I was there in 2012, so it felt a little like home.

Who knew bowling was so popular in Mannheim?

Entrance to the Steinerhaus

And something from  the University of Texas Austin Fine Arts Library (not taken by moi). Do you notice anything strange?

Somehow, photos of a fountain just don't cut it

Here's an snippet of a humoresque Eurythmy performance by Tali (narrated by Arie). It's a story about a lady bug who though her name was too long.

Bingenheim, day 1

OK, I'm letting these pix jump the queue. Arrived in Bingenheim around 5PM after taking 2 planes, a bus & three trains - then a 30-minute walk from the train station.

Schloss entrance - inside looking out

I think the kindergarten was in this bldg.
- as was the stage changing room

Lovely Steiner-inspired door with roses

Probably the main bldg.
since this is the one you'll find on the web

Schloss garden & the building with the
"pent-house" apt. that Michaal was staying in.

The street outside the schloss entrance

Schloss tower

Performance poster - can you see the silhouettes?

Tree in the courtyard - could be
the tree of life from the Garden of Eden

Performance hall entrance

My room (obviously usually a meeting room)

Europe 2014

As a begin to face sorting through all the photos I took, I thought I'd send along this video of one of my favorite moments of the trip. Jan, Dominique, Nadiv & I were visiting the "Wald see" near Murrhardt (literally Forest Sea, but read pond). Apparently Jan forgot about the recent rain. :)

Wellesley starts Monday, so not sure when I'll get around to posting again.

Peaceful Potter

Probably won't have a chance to post another one of these for awhile, so here's a photo of napping Potter & a lovely shot of a Japanese rain forest from a blogger whom I follow.

Hydrangea, Bamboo Forest, Japan

Old Crow Medicine Show

A couple songs I hope will brighten your holidays. Whiskey Christmas   and Holly Jolly Christmas (it's worth listening to the end)
