2918-07-19 Trip to the MFA pastel show

Shots today from my first extensive trip to see the MFA pastel show. I was amazed at the detail one can achieve using this medium.

One of the Cassatts has already left the building, being replaced in the pride-of-place slot with a Degas. Somehow I don't seem to have taken a picture of that one. :| The show started with an entire room dedicated to Millet. Full-resolution versions in Flickr.

I swear crows must be a thing in north European art.

An example of the always-lovely bouquets the volunteers create.

An exhibition for "laying back and avoiding"?

On the way out.
