Inside and out: more photos from 25.Feb.2016

The last of the shots from indoors, and the first from the internal and external sculpture gardens.

Don't remember if this is from a member of the original group,
though the following are.

In case you can't tell, this is a photo.

Grill work to a small balcony where there was a video
comparing this museum to Piano's De Menil collection in TX.

This a repeat from yesterday, with a different detail.

Someone dropped their keys? Who's to say it's not art?

Interior sculpture garden - don't think one dared sit on it.

So you can see the hold better - and the hoses
are an example of slow-drip watering technology
that the Israelis invented.

More Ein Harod: or 25.Feb.2016 continued

More titular colonicity. I confess, in the absence of the wall blurgs, that I had to guess with some of them whether or not to rotate the image.

Off soon to catch BSO & Mahler 9 with our new(ish) conductor, Andris Nelsons (my first experience with both the piece (live) and that guy waving the baton). Edited later to add: good performance, but not my favorite Mahler symphony.

Klee- or Malevich-like, anyone?

Gotta say I really like this one.
Made me giggle.

Cy Twombly, anyone? Though given his b'day (1928,
maybe the influence was the other way around.

New Horizons: or 25.Feb.2016 continued

In case you're curious, today's blog title is an example of titular colonicity (a description I like because it contains the word "tit"). :)

We arrived at the Ein Harod museum the day (or two) before the New Horizons exhibition opened, and they hadn't put up the descriptions of the pieces, but they were all by members of the group, the first such in the then-newly-established state of Jerusalem, or by contemporary artist who were influenced by them. I'm sure Arie could tell us who did what. If I get a round tuit, I'll search for all the names & see if I can link to other images of their work & you can decide. The first image is from near the museum entrance & talks about Mr. Bickels. The 2nd - 4th images are from the works on paper gallery.

Yet another detail of work at right (if your browser works the same as mine).

You get the picture, so to speak.

More to come.
