2016-03-03: Israel Museum day 9

19th century Asian ceramics, 20th century American.

The last few photos from the 20th century galleries before I began to head out to meet up with Jan & Arie at David Yellin College & be introduced to their students there. Not to worry, there are still some photos from their 15th-19th century European galleries. Not their strength number-wise, though: those four centuries were contained in about as many rooms.

Dan Flavin. American minimalist artist

One of my faves, Agnes Martin. Didn't like to be called a
Minimalist. Her work is always so peaceful.

Thought this was way earlier, but it's from the 19th century.
Can't find the image on the IM website for a clearer description.

The performance hall.
