2016:03-03 & 04: Israel Museum, Yad Veshem, etc.

The last few photos from the trip to the Israel Museum, others taken at the amazing concert of the Meta4 string quartet that Arie & I saw later on (Jan was busy beforehand & got in on the last bit as I recall) at the Jerusalem YMCA in their wonderful concert hall, and the first photos from Jan & my trip to Yad Veshem, the Jerusalem Holocaust museum. It was her first trip there, too. The chronologically-organized main exhibition started very closed, crowded, & dark with artifacts from the beginning of the Nazi period, and ended with the view you can see in the final photo.

Edgardo Sambo Salome. Oddly this artist & painting
isn't in their list of works (prolly because it's on extended loan).
Nor is the artist even in the Italian Wikipdeia.

Olafur Eliasson Whenever the Rainbow Appears

I'm guessing Henry Moore? Outdoor sculpture

Downstairs at the YMCA (go ahead, keep singing)

Inside concert hall at the YMCA (ear worm yet?)

Night shot of the David Gate to Old Town if memory serves.

Some of Jan & Arie's neighbors in Bet Zait

On the way from the tram to Yav Veshev.

Snap dragons, ditto
