Kerry James Marshall—A Creative Convening, Morning Session

Brilliant interview with Kerry James Marshall during his amazing show @ the Met Breuer earlier this year.
The actual factual interview starts about 30 minutes in, and lasts about an hour.

Things he mentioned that I had to look up:
Charles Wilber White American artist known for his WPA murals;
Marshall's Portrait of the artist as a shadow of his former self;
Duchamp's Étant donnés;
Poet Fred Moten;
Art historian W.J.T. Mitchell's Iconology Today (you can listen to the talk on the latter site;
Marshall's Baobob Ensemble;
The film Daughters of the dust

I also don't understand why the interviewer felt she had to apologize for quoting Kenneth Clark. Maybe this is why, given that Marxist analysis is apparently the preferred analytical mode du jour.
