Being seen

These days we could all use some pretties in our lives. Here is a recent Met Museum video about Native American art in its collection. I'm embarrassed to say I don't even know where these galleries are there. Makes me want to make some beaded shawls in honor of her piece.

I'm also proud to have one of Porfirio Gutiérrez' rugs in our living room. He has a workshop in Oaxaca, Mexico and the Smithsonian has his rugs in their collection.

Porfirio gave a talk on his workshop's dyeing techniques at Harvard a few years ago. I'm glad I was able to be there.
