29.June.2014 - Mannheim & Murrhardt

Pix from Mannheim & Murrhardt - and a video. Temp outside says 69F but methinks the humidity is higher than yesterday because it certainly feels warmer than that. Tootling & maybe toddling on tap for today, as well as the requisite stitching.

Pit stop: Now which way do we go?

Villa Franck built in 1904-1907 by the architect Paul Schmohl and Georg Staehelin is one of the most beautiful and best preserved Art Nouveau villas Germany. German article is here. Up the road from where we stayed.

Germans certainly like their little garden sculptures.
This one found along the aforementioned path.

If I could have brought this home . . .

Anyone recognize this artwork
(on the wall above "my" bed)?

Supper - or was it lunch?

Jan & Arie with the woman who introduced them to each other
(if I have the story right).
She's now living in the assisted living/nursing home in Murrhardt.

Outside the door of the house Jan, Arie,
Nadiv, Dominique and I stayed in.

I took this video during the aforementioned pit stop because it reminded me of the creek that flowed behind the Gypsy House, family gathering place for paternal family line.
