More shots from Julie's house - including porch scenes, a garden guardian, table setting, Julie & Aunt Buzz & Uncle John (husband Scott was already away @ work & you can see from the photos that the fog had lifted) and the ladder I used to get to the bed I slept in (yikes - and slightly fuzzy - the photo, not the ladder - sorry).
Heading out soon for a toddle in this lovely fall weather & then laundry, tootling, tackling paper piles, etc.
There was a great interview on Being this AM with a conservative Christian commentator Richard Mouw - on restoring political civility. He had some interesting ideas, one of them "concentrates on [one's] own sinfulness and the other person's humanness." Another was treating people with gentleness & reverence, which particularly spoke to me (and to which I've added some editorial interpolations):
"We've always got to be defending our beliefs against people who disagree with us. But we seldom go on and quote the next part of that verse, which is, "And do so with gentleness and reverence," . . . I've often thought how different our theological and even our interreligious disagreements [and familial conflicts] would get played out if we constantly said to ourselves, I've got to treat the other person with gentleness and reverence. . ."

Doing my best to be gentle and reverent.
