2016-02-26: final pix o' that day

Photos from the hills above the Lake of Galilee, including the Syrian border (and the flimsy fence that was all that marked it and where we heard what I thought was thunder, but Jan assured me was the noise of bombs dropping in that horrid war there), a visit to a nature preserve where there were orchids that bloom nowhere else in the world, and a lovely concert that friends of Jan & Arie gave at the Scots Hotel in Tiberias, which town has apparently been there for almost 2 millennia.

Somehow this earlier photo didn't make it to the mix.
The first time we'd been above sea level in awhile.

Yes, that flimsy fence marks the border between Israel & Syria.

These apparently are found nowhere else in the world.

Another anemone but a special color.

Read this if you're curious to know why there's a Scots Hotel
in Israell. Concert by the Atar Trio (of whom Jan's friend Ofer
is the pianist).
